Tirupattur Family of Four Dies in Chhattisgarh Flash Floods
Tirupattur: A tragic incident claimed the lives of four members of a family from Parandapalli, Tirupattur, when their car was swept away by flash floods in Chhattisgarh on Monday. The accident occurred on the Sukma–Jagalpur Road after water from an overflowing lake inundated the forested stretch.

According to district revenue officials, the family was travelling from Chhattisgarh to Tirupattur at the time of the incident. Rajeshkumar, a civil engineer, had been residing in Raipur with his family for the past 15 years, where he operated a construction company.
Speaking to The New Indian Express, Rajesh’s niece, C Malar, confirmed that all four family members sustained fatal head injuries. Following post-mortem examinations, their bodies were transported to their native village in Tirupattur and cremated on Thursday evening.
Efforts to obtain official comments from District Collector K. Sivasoundaravalli and Kandili police inspector were unsuccessful despite repeated attempts.
