Patna: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has extended the deadline for online registration of students appearing for the Class 12 Intermediate Annual Examination 2026 . As per the revised schedule, the last date to complete online registration is September 3, 2025 . BSEB extends online registration deadline for Class 12 Intermediate 2026 exams; schools must submit hard copies by September 1. Schools have been instructed to carry out the registration process on behalf of their students through the official portal — seniorsecondary.biharboardonline.com . The registration must be completed along with the payment of the prescribed fee. In addition to the online process, BSEB has made it mandatory for schools to submit a signed and stamped hard copy of the registered students’ list to the Board office by September 1, 2025 . Madurai: The absence of a radiation therapy facility at the Government Rajaji Hospital (GRH) has forced cancer patients to travel nearly four kilometres to the Cancer Care Centre (CCC) at the Government Hospital in Balarengapuram for treatment. Cancer patients at Madurai GRH face stress and extra expenses as lack of radiation facility forces them to travel 4 km for therapy. Patients and attendants say the distance adds both financial and emotional strain to their already difficult medical journey. Sivasubramanian (54), a patient undergoing treatment, shared his ordeal: “After basic treatment at GRH, I have to visit the CCC frequently for radiation therapy. Tirupattur Family of Four Dies in Chhattisgarh Flash Floods

Tirupattur: A tragic incident claimed the lives of four members of a family from Parandapalli, Tirupattur, when their car was swept away by flash floods in Chhattisgarh on Monday. The accident occurred on the Sukma–Jagalpur Road after water from an overflowing lake inundated the forested stretch. Four from Tirupattur, including two children, die in Chhattisgarh floods after car swept away on Sukma–Jagalpur Road. The victims have been identified as G Rajeshkumar (42), his wife R Pavithra (32), and their daughters R Soundanya (10) and R Soumika (7). MADURAI: The Madurai rural police have registered a case against Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) president Vijay and 10 bouncers in connection with an incident at the party’s state conference held in Parapathi, Madurai, on August 21. TVK President Vijay The case was initially filed as a zero FIR by Kunnam police in Perambalur district and later transferred to the Koodakovil police station under Madurai rural police limits on Thursday. Following the transfer, a formal case was registered against Vijay and the bouncers. According to the complaint, G. Sarathkumar (24), a resident of Periyammapalaiyam in Perambalur, alleged that he sustained internal injuries to his chest and body after being thrown off the ramp by bouncers while Vijay was walking on the stage around 4:30 pm.
